Quotes from Quixote

"He thought it fit and proper, both in order to increase his renown and to serve the state, to turn knight errant and travel through the world with horse and armor in search of adventures, following in every way the practice of the knights errant he had read of, redressing all manner of wrongs, and exposing himself to chances and dangers, by the overcoming of which he might win eternal honor and renown."

Quotes from Quixote

With the government on the brink of shutting down this next week, this feels like an appropriate DQ quote for the day:

"By what means do you propose to fill the void of my fear and reduce the chaos of my confusion to clarity?"
Don Quixote, Prologue, p. 27

Quotes from Quixote

I've been trying to accomplish my goal of reading Don Quixote before I'm 30, and I'm learning a lot of things from the Don.  Number one being that I am well on my way to being him:

"So from little sleep and much reading, his brain dried up and he lost his wits."
Don Quixote, Part I, Ch. I, p. 32
