A Tackle from the Past

Erin I'll-tackle-you-Teichert-but-I'm-the-most-beautiful-tackler-in-the-world Barbuto visited us months and months ago.

But it was just a couple weeks ago that she remembered to send me pictures from her visit.  Coincidentally, on the same day, Kelly discovered forgotten pictures on her camera of that same blessed visit.

Here are the forgotten treasures:

I remember we made dinner, but I don't remember much beyond that.
And the pictures just add to the mystery of what went on that night.

Does anyone remember why Erin brought a Pound Plus bar of chocolate from Trader Joe's?  And did we decide that that was one of the best things she had ever done?

And does anyone remember why I'm trying to stab sweet Erin with my fork?

Or how Erin got to be such a beautiful fruit model?

Or why I mysteriously changed outfits?  Or why Erin mysteriously chose to wear a towel for this picture?

Or why we are all now wearing a towel?

Or why I'm singing like the hills are alive with the sound of music?

But then there are always some moments that need no explanation:

Erin, I love you more than tackles and fruit mustaches and a million-billion pounds plus of chocolate!
Please be my friend forever and ever.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!! You know, for years now I thought I'd turned into the kinder, gentler Erin I always dreamed of, and that my tackling years were behind me...it just goes to show that you can take the girl out of the tackle, and you can pick your gentle with your kindness, but you can't pick the way you mix your metaphors.

And...do you remember how it was POURING rain (the towel) and I almost saw your roommate on the train, and I made Kelly's blog go private? And remember how great it was to see you and how I felt so guilty that I'd seen you two twice before I'd seen Alison and I just live a couple of miles from her? And remember how we talked about little Morgan and her Fernando song with the cane that turns into a gun? *Sigh* Kitchens are the spice of life.
